OPEN - Traditional Fall Ball Program

Force Ohio Fall Ball is designed to provide young athletes with the opportunity to continue developing their baseball skills during the fall season in a competitive and supportive environment. Our program aims to balance skill development with game experience, ensuring players grow both individually and as part of a team. The primary goal of Fall Ball is to get in as many reps as possible before the weather switches, allowing players to maximize their time on the field.

Key Features:

  • Games: Held on Saturdays and Sundays, providing players with ample game experience. Over the course of the 6-week season, each team will play a total of 12 games.

  • Practices: In addition to weekend games, teams will have one practice session per week. These practices will focus on skill development, teamwork, and strategy.

  • Assessment Day: To ensure players are paired with like-minded and similarly experienced teammates, we will hold an assessment day. During this assessment, coaches will evaluate players' skills to the best of their ability. While we strive for accurate pairings, we acknowledge that no process is perfect.

  • Season Duration: Fall Ball preparation will begin the week of August 12th, and the league will run for 6 weeks.

  • League Selection: We will determine which league we will participate in around July 25th. This decision will be based on ensuring the chosen league aligns with the talent pool of our players, providing the most suitable level of competition. Potential league locations include Maplewood in Cleveland, Ohio, or Victory Park in North Ridgeville.

  • Player Gear: Each player will receive a Force hat and jersey to wear during the season.

Program Goals:

  • Skill Development: Our weekly practices and weekend games are structured to enhance each player's technical abilities, understanding of the game, and overall athleticism.

  • Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Players will learn the importance of working together as a team, supporting their teammates, and demonstrating good sportsmanship on and off the field.

  • Competitive Play: By playing against teams of similar skill levels, players will face appropriate challenges that foster growth and improvement.

  • Maximizing Field Time: With the primary goal of getting as many reps in as possible before the weather changes, players will benefit from consistent practice and game play during favorable conditions.

Registration and Participation:

  • Eligibility: Open to players of all skill levels. We aim to create balanced teams to ensure competitive and enjoyable games for everyone.

  • Commitment: Players and their families should be prepared for a consistent schedule of weekend games and weekly practices throughout the season.

Join us for Force Ohio Fall Ball and experience the perfect blend of competition, skill development, and fun. Let's make this fall season a memorable and impactful time for all our young athletes!
